Rich Brooks announced on his twitter Wednesday afternoon that he had some skin cancer removed from his lower leg today.

I called UK sports information director Tony Neely to ask him about it… and he said Brooks was shocked anyone would care!

Seriously?

I know that loss to Florida left a bad taste in some fans’ mouths… but c’mon.  You’re still our coach… we still care about you!

It’s the first time Brooks has had skin cancer removed… said it was a pretty basic procedure and he won’t miss any time.
